“Already I am thinking of coming to The Elgin again very soon”
I have just spent a mini-holiday at your hotel, may I congratulate you on everything you offer the guests, the hotel is very comfortable, food is fantastic, the cabaret nights are great, I attended the Sixties night and Andrew was very good and kept us all singing and dancing with his great selection of music. He also helped me find my hotel room just before he set up his equipment, I had got into the wrong lift (something to do with elderly brain power I think).
I booked originally for the ballroom dancing, I wanted to dance at The Tower and I got my wish, it was fantastic. I am trying to get my life on track after I lost my husband, he was also my best friend, we had been married for 52 very happy years. People were so very kind and they involved me as much as possible in different things.
Already I am thinking of coming to The Elgin again very soon, I enjoyed it so much.
All of your staff are a credit to you, right down to the cleaning staff, everyone always has a cheery greeting or smile, they were more like friends – GREAT!!!!
When I was telling people I was coming to The Elgin, the first thing they mentioned was the great food, they were so right, I’m a bit picky with food but I ate everything put before me.
CONGRATULATIONS CHEF, MANY TIMES OVER.
With my heartfelt thanks to everybody.

“A Home From Home”
Thank you so much for making our holiday feel like ‘home from home’. Your efficiency, organizational qualities and people skills are exceptional.
Also many thanks to the ‘Elgo Team’:-
Catering – very pleasant, courteous and always smiling, you were all so quick with your service and nothing was too much trouble. Chef – meals wonderful. Cider and apple gravy to die for! One complaint – I thought my mother’s home made bread and butter pudding the best in the world. Unfortunately you have equaled hers – I don’t know how to tell her!!
Cleaning – we never saw you, but felt we knew you through your works. Our room was always immaculately cleaned every time we arrived back. You were like magical fairies.
Again, a huge thank you.
Mrs Fort, Mrs Mitchell.
A place to go & rest a while,
A place to go & share a smile,
A place to go & get “spoilt-rotten”,
A place to go where you’re not forgotten.
Where’s that? you say, there’s no such place,
I’ve searched until, I’m blue in the face,
Your search for this need not begin,
‘Cos I’ve just stayed at 4*-Star ELGIN.
A place to go, I’ve rested a while,
A place to go, I’ve shared a smile,
A place to go, I’ve got “spoilt-rotten”,
A place to go, I’ve not been forgotten.
* Definitely should be 3, if not even a 4 BUT not a 2.
