This is an ideal weekend for lovers of the Big Band Sound of the 1940s.
On Friday Evening Les Lee, a local DJ & entertainer, will play music made famous by Glenn Miller. The highlight of the weekend is the 14 piece The John Towers Big Band who will play all your favourites from this era on Saturday evening. Get in the party mood and feel free to dress in the period of the forties. (Limited to 90 guests due to size of band)! Our first weekend coincides with the end of the National Veterans Week in Blackpool. There will be a service at the Cenotaph on the Sunday morning on both weekends. During the June weekend the Aero GP Flying Race takes place in the town. There will also be RAF demonstrtions through the week as well as a visit from a Royal Dignitary. |
